Art. XXII and XXIII of the Revised Statutes

File my candidacy

A candidate may run for one position only. The file is submitted online; the candidacy fee is paid in cash to the designated members of the Commission or via InstaPay, and you are given a receipt. Documents remain confidential and are never published.

Single candidate for a post: the ballot offers “For”, “Against” or blank; the candidate is elected only with more than 50% of that post's voters. Otherwise the post is declared vacant: the Commission reopens applications and holds a new election for that post within 30 days (Art. XIX).

President of the Executive Board 5,000 EGP

Conditions (Art. XXII, paragraph I)

  1. Be at least twenty-one (21) years old
  2. Be an active member of FACAMEG
  3. Be a Cameroonian national
  4. Have resided in Egypt for at least one (01) year on the filing date
  5. Hold a valid Egyptian residence permit, with guaranteed renewal
  6. Hold a valid consular card
  7. Hold a Cameroonian passport valid for at least six (06) months
  8. Provide proof of a residential address in Egypt through a lease agreement in their own name or in the name of their spouse
  9. Not be a member of the Transition Committee or of the FACAMEG Transition Bureau and Electoral Commission (resignation from the Committee no later than filing)
  10. Pay the candidacy fee: 5,000 EGP, non-refundable
  11. Run for this position only

  • Lease agreement in the name of the candidate or spouse

Treasurer 3,000 EGP

Conditions (Art. XXII, paragraph II)

  1. Be at least twenty-one (21) years old
  2. Be an active member of FACAMEG
  3. Be a Cameroonian national
  4. Have resided in Egypt for at least one (01) year on the filing date
  5. Hold a valid Egyptian residence permit, with guaranteed renewal
  6. Hold a valid consular card
  7. Hold a Cameroonian passport valid for at least six (06) months
  8. State their residential address in Egypt; for this position, the address does not have to be in their name and no lease agreement in their name is required
  9. Not be a member of the Transition Committee or of the FACAMEG Transition Bureau and Electoral Commission (resignation from the Committee no later than filing)
  10. Pay the candidacy fee: 3,000 EGP, non-refundable
  11. Run for this position only

Auditor 2,000 EGP

Conditions (Art. XXII, paragraph III)

  1. Be at least twenty-one (21) years old
  2. Be an active member of FACAMEG
  3. Be a Cameroonian national
  4. Have resided in Egypt for at least one (01) year on the filing date
  5. Hold a valid Egyptian residence permit, with guaranteed renewal
  6. Hold a valid consular card
  7. Hold a Cameroonian passport valid for at least six (06) months
  8. State their residential address in Egypt; for this position, the address does not have to be in their name and no lease agreement in their name is required
  9. Not be a member of the Transition Committee or of the FACAMEG Transition Bureau and Electoral Commission (resignation from the Committee no later than filing)
  10. Pay the candidacy fee: 2,000 EGP, non-refundable
  11. Run for this position only

  1. Be at least twenty-one (21) years old
  2. Be an active member of FACAMEG
  3. Be a Cameroonian national
  4. Have lived in Egypt for at least ten (10) years on the filing date
  5. Hold a valid Egyptian residence permit, with guaranteed renewal
  6. Hold a valid consular card
  7. Hold a Cameroonian passport valid for at least six (06) months
  8. Prove a residential address in Egypt with a lease in their own name
  9. Be married or in a couple (sworn statement)
  10. Not be a member of the Transition Committee or of the FACAMEG Transition Bureau and Electoral Commission (resignation from the Committee no later than filing)
  11. Pay the candidacy fee: 2,500 EGP, non-refundable
  12. Run for this position only
